This privacy policy outlines the information we collect from users, how we use, protect and store that information.
Additionally, we provide information on how we use cookies, how to opt-out of cookies, and how to exercise your rights.
We collect the information users provide to us in order to deliver the core functionality of our service. For example, when you mark a lesson as complete, participate in a quiz or post a review, we store the data associated with those actions in order to deliver those features of our product.
Additionally, we automatically collect data around how our product is being used. This includes things like the pages being visited and the nature of interactions with our user interface. We use this information to better understand how our product is being used, with the aim of improving our service over time. For example, we might use it to identify the type of content that is most popular or the features of our product that are most engaging.
We also automatically store information on the nature of the device being used. This information is not personal and is limited to things your browser provides, such as screen resolution, language, connection speed, and which version of the browser you are using. We use this information to better guide our product decisions around things like what browsers we need to support, and what screen resolutions we should prioritise for our designs.
We do not sell, transfer or make our data available to third parties, beyond the extent described in this policy
Some of the information is stored on cloud services controlled by us. The physical infrastructure is provided by Amazon Web Services.
The remaining information is stored and managed by Google, as part of their Google Analytics service.
We adopt modern security best practices in our operations.
Information is encrypted both in transit, and at rest.
Our data is primarily stored in the USA and Ireland, on equipment provided by Amazon Web Services. We may transfer and temporarily store data to equipment in other countries. By using our service, you consent to data being transferred and stored in this manner, in the knowledge those countries may not afford you the same rights as local law
Cookies are small text files that browsers allow websites to store on your device. Websites can access the cookies they created when you return to the same site at a later date.
We use this technology in order to deliver the core functionality of our product. For example, when you mark a lesson as complete, we use cookies to ensure that lesson will still be marked as complete when you return to the site later.
We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or storing any type of personally identifiable information. Our analytics provider, Google Analytics, may also create cookies in accordance with their own privacy policy.
Cookies can be disabled in your browser settings - consult the documentation for the browser you are using.
Note, much of this site will not work without cookies.
We do not take any action in receipt of these signals.
Children are explicitly prohibited from using our service, under the terms of use. We do not record or attempt to detect the age of our visitors.
We do not ask users for private information. If you feel we are storing your personal information despite this and would like to exercise your legal rights on this basis, please contact us with details.
